I decided on just one piece of wood for the back, so that it would show off the interesting irregular pattern/colors of the Rosewood. (This is different to last time when I "bookmatched" two pieces of wood, so they mirrored each other to create a symmetrical appearance). |

I chose Purple Heart wood for the head/neck. My ukulele teacher Mike added a piece of mahogany down the middle to make it lighter, since Purple Heart is so heavy. |
