Quezzle Hints & Solution

Quezzle (Puzzle and Quest) "Amazing Cappadocia" is a 4-part wooden puzzle ending with a neat escape-room like quest.

I love wooden puzzles and I love escape rooms.  So this was right up my alley.

However, the instructions are a bit long, the app is wonky, and it's quite possible to think you've finished everything when you haven't.  Therefore, I created this blog of Quezzle hints & solutions to help you along.  Read on if you want some guidance, if you get stuck, or if you think you're done but aren't sure.  Spoilers are hidden behind spoiler buttons.

Quezzle!

To start out, I recommend simply completing all 4 jigsaw puzzles.  Each puzzle is 250 pieces, and there will be 8-10 odd pieces left over which create something delightful.  This means by the end, you'll have 4 rectangular puzzles plus 4 little surprises.  Super cute.

Part 1: Heavenly Dragon
Part 1: Glorified Eagle

Part 2: Western Lanes
Part 2: Mysterious Lion

Part 3: Cloudy Sunset
Part 3: Desired Pegasus

Part 4: East Square
Part 4: Eternal Elephant

Optionally, you can connect all 4 puzzles using the connector pieces.  You've gotten this far, so might as well create one giant 1000 piece puzzle!

All 4 Parts Put Together!

Now here's where something interesting happens!  Each of the 4 puzzles comes with a list of instructions/mini-quests.  You can pretty much skip all of them for now, with one exception.  (They're mostly "I Spy" type games, and if you like those you can always go back later to play them).  But here's the part you don't want to miss:

Quezzle Instructions

The part I highlighted in red reads: "Collect the Eagle, Lion, Pegasus, Elephant and you can continue the story of the mysterious kidnapping of the Princess.  Each of the friends has a code word hidden on them.  Compose them to find out a clue."

The animals spell out a secret message: Box Has Double Bottom

One of the puzzle boxes has a secret chamber!

Secret set of instructions

Woohoo, now the real quest begins!  I've compiled a bunch of spoiler buttons that you can use if you're getting stuck or if you want to double check your work.  Have fun!

The prince and princess are each made up of 4 puzzle pieces, one from each of the 4 quadrants

Here's where those Part 1-4 instructions come in handy. Use them to help guide you to where you can find pieces for Tasks 2, 3, 4, and 6. (Aside from 3 hidden ninjas and 1 hidden mummy, the instructions will outline exactly what you can expect to find in each quadrant). If you're having trouble finding a piece, refer to the next 4 photos to help you out.

Part 1: 3 red chests, 1 red ninja, 1 mummy, 5 stars, 1 butterfly

Part 2: 2 stars, 1 butterfly, 4 blue chests, 1 ninja, 1 mummy

Part 3: 3 stars, 1 butterfly, 3 green chests, 1 ninja

Part 4: 3 stars, 1 butterfly, 3 purple chests, 1 ninja

Magic Unidragon Balloon to save the Prince and Princess!

Butterflies create a hint: "Turn Over"

The Criminal AKA The Villain

What the villain piece looks like

The Villain is in the bottom left area of Part 3

The butterflies clued us in that we needed to turn something over.  On the back of the chest, the secret code is: "WANTSPACE"

Just for fun, here's all 6 secret puzzles!

For the 7th/final task, you need to use the app.  As I mentioned before, the app is wonky so be patient with it.  At this point, you'll need 3 pieces of information: where the villain is (task 5 solution), what the secret code is (task 6 solution), and you also need to find an eagle.

Eagle: left edge of Part 1.  Villain: right lower region of Part 3.

If you're having trouble getting the app to work, here's a video I made that walks you through exactly what you should be able to see: https://youtu.be/YZUqLOsnj4s

Hope that was helpful.  Happy puzzling!
